Honestly, it work well! I accidentally dropped in a bucket of water while testing it and it floated and still works just fine though it didn’t look like it got much water in the holes. The beep is loud and the settings change pretty easy and fast on it. It’s easy to use once I read the instructions a couple times. I wouldn’t have been able to figure it out without the instructions. I’m keeping them with the detector just in case I forget how to use it.
